AutoNation Acquires RepairSmith

AutoNation agreed to acquire RepairSmith, a Los Angeles-based full-service mobile automotive repair and maintenance provider, for $190 million to expand its after-sales and mobile-service capabilities. The deal is intended to deepen customer retention, broaden AutoNation's service channels (including at-home and on-site fleet service), and was expected to close in Q1 2023 subject to customary conditions.

The add-on deal — Repairify's fourteenth — expands Repairify's reconditioning software and technician network (AMT serves roughly 8,000 technicians and customers that handle ~40,000 vehicles per day); financial terms were not disclosed.
