An affiliate of H.I.G. Capital has acquired a majority stake in Grupo Ransa, a leading third-party logistics (3PL) operator headquartered in Peru. Grupo Romero will remain a strategic partner and Ransa's existing management team, led by CEO Paolo Sacchi, will continue to run the business; financial terms were not disclosed.

H.I.G. Capital's portfolio company Grupo Ransa has completed a merger with Transportes Centroamericanos del Futuro (TCF), creating an expanded end-to-end logistics platform across Latin America. The combined business will operate from over 72 regional branches, serve 19 ports, manage roughly four million square meters of storage, run a fleet of over 3,000 vehicles and have a combined workforce of more than 9,200 employees.

Lineage Logistics Acquires Grupo Fuentes

Lineage Logistics has completed the acquisition of Grupo Fuentes, a Murcia-headquartered Spanish transport and cold-storage operator. The deal brings Grupo Fuentes' fleet of more than 500 vehicles, six logistics centers, a 60,000-pallet refrigerated warehouse, and approximately 850 employees into Lineage, strengthening its cold-chain and transport footprint in Spain and Southern Europe.
