Bain Capital has agreed to acquire a controlling stake in Somacis, an Italian high‑technology printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturer, from Chequers Capital (which will reinvest alongside management). Somacis, founded in 1972 and employing more than 1,700 people across five production facilities in Europe, North America and Asia, serves high‑performance end markets including Aerospace & Defence, MedTech and Datacentres/AI; the deal is subject to regulatory approvals.
