ServiceNow has agreed to acquire Seattle-based observability and log management startup Era Software to integrate its log management capabilities into ServiceNow’s Lightstep observability offering. The acquisition strengthens ServiceNow’s unified telemetry strategy by combining logs, metrics, and traces into a single enterprise-scale solution; terms were not disclosed and the deal closed in Q4 2022.

Sage Acquires Lockstep

The Sage Group plc has agreed to acquire Lockstep, a Seattle-based provider of cloud-native accounting automation technology, to broaden Sage's office-of-the-CFO capabilities and expand its digital network for SMBs. Lockstep — which employs over 130 people and connects more than 26,000 businesses across 40+ accounting systems — will join Sage with its management team to accelerate connected accounting innovation.
