Cloud Equity Group Acquires Data Network Services

Cloud Equity Group has completed the acquisition of Virginia-based Data Network Services (DNS) through an asset purchase agreement. Cloud Equity Group intends to support DNS's growth plans, accelerating local expansion and enabling geographic expansion across the United States while DNS continues to deliver managed IT, consulting, and network services to SMB clients in Central Virginia.

Homepage Universe Acquires VPS Network Group from Cloud Equity Group

Homepage Universe Inc., a Los Angeles-based hosting operator, has acquired VPS Network Group ("VPS Net") from Cloud Equity Group in a full exit for the private equity firm. VPS Net is an international virtualization and bare-metal cloud hosting provider (including brands such as Virpus) and the deal is intended to expand Homepage Universe's virtualization capabilities across multiple technology stacks and geographies. Terms were not disclosed.

Cloud Equity Group Acquires Conseev Hosting Portfolio

Data Network Services (Cloud Equity Group-backed) Acquires Datacom Specialists

Data Network Services, a Virginia-based managed service provider backed by Cloud Equity Group, has acquired Datacom Specialists, an Ohio-based managed service provider serving small- and medium-sized businesses. The deal is DNS’s first add-on since CEG’s December 2020 investment and is intended to expand DNS’s service offerings and client footprint; financial terms were not disclosed.

NetApp Acquires CloudJumper

NetApp acquired CloudJumper, a cloud software company focused on virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and remote desktop services, to create the NetApp Virtual Desktop Service (VDS). The acquisition brings CloudJumper's VDI management capabilities into NetApp Cloud Central and integrates with Azure NetApp Files and Cloud Volumes, expanding NetApp's cloud desktop and data management offerings.
