French electrical-equipment group Legrand has acquired Swiss busbar specialist Amperio Project and Portuguese modular distribution-board maker Quitérios to strengthen its data center power and digital distribution capabilities. Terms were not disclosed; the deals add roughly €24 million+ of annual revenue and continue Legrand's strategy to expand in fast‑growing data center and energy transition segments.

Legrand Acquires Kratos Industries to Expand Data Center Power Portfolio

Legrand has acquired Kratos Industries, a Colorado-based manufacturer of low-voltage switchboards, medium-voltage switchgear and integrated power systems, to strengthen its critical power offerings for the data center market. In parallel, Legrand participated in Accelsius' Series B to deepen capabilities in two-phase, direct-to-chip liquid cooling for high-density AI data centers.

Eaton Acquires 50% Stake in Jiangsu YiNeng Electric's Busway Business

Eaton completed the acquisition of a 50% stake in Jiangsu YiNeng Electric’s busway business, a China-based manufacturer of busway products that reported $60 million in sales in 2020. The joint arrangement expands Eaton’s power distribution and power quality portfolio in the Asia‑Pacific region to better serve data center, commercial building and industrial customers.

Legrand Acquires ZPE Systems

Legrand has completed the acquisition of ZPE Systems, Inc., a Fremont, California-based provider of secure management infrastructure for data center, branch, and edge environments (serial console servers, sensors, service routers and a software-defined management platform). ZPE Systems will join Legrand's Data, Power and Control (DPC) Division as a business unit to broaden Legrand's data center and edge management capabilities and address growing demand driven by AI and edge computing.

Bentley Systems Acquires Power Line Systems from TA Associates for ~$700M

Bentley Systems agreed to acquire Power Line Systems, a Madison, Wisconsin–headquartered leader in transmission-line engineering software, from private equity firm TA Associates for approximately $700 million. The acquisition expands Bentley's grid integration and digital twin offerings by adding transmission-grade PLS products to its portfolio and will operate within Bentley's new Grid Integration Group upon closing.

Royal Power Solutions Acquires Business Assets from Wieland Rolled Products North America

Royal Power Solutions, an Industrial Growth Partners (IGP) portfolio company, acquired certain business assets and product lines from Wieland Rolled Products North America in two transactions (October 8 and December 9, 2020). The assets—including busbars, terminals, eyelets and shields—bolster Royal's capabilities in electrical connectivity for automotive, EV and power electronics platforms and add new manufacturing technologies and customers in mobility markets.
