Summit BHC Acquires Seven Psychiatric Hospitals from Strategic Behavioral Health

The deal expands Summit's footprint into New Mexico, North Carolina, and Wisconsin and increases its presence in Iowa, Tennessee, and Texas; terms were not disclosed.

Summit BHC Acquires Peak View Behavioral Health

Patient Square Capital has acquired Summit BHC, a Franklin, Tennessee–headquartered provider of behavioral health and addiction treatment services that operates 24 facilities across 16 states. Summit was sold by private equity owners FFL Partners and Lee Equity Partners; financial terms were not disclosed and the deal was announced in September 2021 and closed in November 2021.

Summit BHC Acquires The Pavilion and The Farley Center in Williamsburg, VA

Summit BHC, a national behavioral health and addiction treatment provider headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee, acquired The Pavilion at Williamsburg Place (66-bed inpatient psychiatric facility) and The Farley Center at Williamsburg Place (70-bed substance use treatment facility) and assumed ownership of The Villages recovery housing in Williamsburg, Virginia. The additions expand Summit's footprint in Virginia and bring the company's total to 24 freestanding facilities nationwide.

Behavioral Health Group Acquires Wellness Ambulatory Care (Knoxville, TN)

Behavioral Health Group (BHG) has acquired Wellness Ambulatory Care in Knoxville, Tennessee; the clinic’s ~16 clinicians and staff will operate as BHG Medical Services – Knoxville. The acquisition expands BHG’s office-based medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and general psychiatric services in Tennessee; Dr. Clifford Davidson will remain as Medical Director.

Acadia Healthcare Acquires CenterPointe Behavioral Health System

Acadia Healthcare completed the acquisition of CenterPointe Behavioral Health System, adding four inpatient hospitals (260 acute care beds and 46 specialty substance-use beds) and 10 outpatient locations across Missouri. Acadia funded the transaction with cash on hand and borrowings under its revolving credit facility and said the deal extends its footprint in high-growth Missouri markets (St. Louis, Kansas City and Columbia).
