Heartland Payment Systems acquired TouchNet Information Systems, a provider of integrated commerce and payments solutions for higher-education institutions, for $375 million. The deal adds TouchNet's U.Commerce platform, ~180 employees and more than 600 higher-education clients to Heartland's Campus Solutions business, positioning Heartland as a leader in the higher-education payments market.
