Ziff Davis, through its IGN Entertainment division, acquired Gamer Network, a U.K.-based portfolio of gaming and entertainment publications including Eurogamer, GamesIndustry.biz, VG247 and Rock Paper Shotgun. The purchase (terms not disclosed) expands Ziff Davis/IGN's global audience, product lineup and presence in the U.K. gaming media market; the assets were acquired from ReedPop.

W2O Acquires Elysia Group

Wondr Gaming Corp. Acquires JoyBox Media Inc.

Wondr Gaming Corp. entered into a definitive agreement to acquire all issued and outstanding common shares of JoyBox Media Inc., a media network and influencer marketing agency, in a transaction comprised of common shares of Wondr and cash payments tied to revenue milestones. The acquisition is intended to add viral content, influencer marketing and campaign capabilities to Wondr’s NFT, loyalty and media offerings and is expected to close around early November 2021 (closing later announced in March 2022).

Integrated Water Services and Sciens Water Acquire Hyperion International Technologies

Integrated Water Services, in partnership with Sciens Water Opportunities Management (an affiliate of Sciens Capital), acquired 100% of Hyperion International Technologies, a control-systems and engineering services provider for water and wastewater markets. The deal expands IWS’s product and digital services capabilities in modular MBR and wastewater reuse technologies; Hyperion’s General Manager Scott Johnson will lead the business as Al Ouchie transitions to retirement.
