Veritiv Operating Company has acquired Packaging Solutions, a Southern California provider of custom packaging products and services, to strengthen Veritiv’s regional distribution and service capabilities. The deal brings Packaging Solutions’ customers and employees into Veritiv’s national packaging platform and is intended to enhance design, testing and logistics support for local clients.

ProAmpac Acquires Specialty Packaging, Inc.

ProAmpac, a Cincinnati-based flexible packaging manufacturer owned by Pritzker Private Capital, has acquired Specialty Packaging, Inc., a family-owned paper, film and foil packaging manufacturer based in Fort Worth, Texas. The acquisition expands ProAmpac's paper bag converting capacity, broadens its recyclable foodservice packaging portfolio and extends its footprint into the southwestern United States.

Specialized Packaging Group (a portfolio company of Altamont Capital Partners) has acquired Protective Packaging Solutions (PPS), a custom designer and fabricator of engineered protective packaging based in Aurora, Colorado. The acquisition expands SPG's engineered packaging capabilities and geographic reach, adding approximately 90 employees to SPG's ~1,600-person workforce; Monroe Capital provided a senior credit facility to support the transaction.

Specialized Packaging Group (SPG), a portfolio company of Altamont Capital Partners, has acquired Clark Foam Corporation, a Bolingbrook, Illinois-based custom foam and protective packaging manufacturer. The add-on expands SPG's engineered packaging capabilities and Midwest footprint, adds approximately 50 employees, and sees Clark Foam owner Jim Clark retire from day-to-day operations while remaining on as an advisor for a transition period.

Flexpak, LLC Acquires Preferred Packaging Products, Inc.

Flexpak, LLC, a Shorehill Capital-backed value-added packaging distributor based in Woods Cross, Utah, completed the acquisition of Thornton, Colorado-based Preferred Packaging Products, Inc. on February 1, 2023. The add-on expands Flexpak's geographic footprint into Colorado and adds specialized packaging capabilities serving end markets including electronics, instrumentation, consumer products and healthcare.

The deal is B2B’s fourth add-on since GenNx360’s October 2020 investment and expands the platform’s corrugated, poly bag and stretch film capabilities and client coverage in Southern California.
