Bird Construction Acquires Fraser River Pile & Dredge from TriWest Capital Partners

Bird Construction Inc. has acquired Fraser River Pile & Dredge (FRPD) from private equity owner TriWest Capital Partners. FRPD, headquartered in New Westminster, British Columbia, is a longstanding Canadian marine construction, pile/foundation and dredging contractor with a workforce of over 300; the deal adds specialized marine and dredging capabilities to Bird’s service offering to support infrastructure and nation-building projects across Canada.

The deal expands Bird's electrical and instrumentation capabilities, adds up to 450 electricians serving the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (Alberta), and supports recurring MSA revenue streams; the purchase was financed ~85% with debt and the balance with Bird treasury shares.
