Energy North Incorporated (ENG), a Lawrence, Massachusetts–based operator of gas stations, convenience stores and car washes, acquired Tradewinds, a Bangor, Maine–based convenience store and fuel chain. The transaction transfers ownership of ten Tradewinds properties (part of a 15-location local chain) from owners Chuck and Belinda Lawrence to ENG as part of ENG’s continued expansion in Maine.

The stores — previously owned and operated by Mellissa Wagner and family — will be reimaged to the truenorth brand and continue selling Shell fuel while expanding True North's Wisconsin footprint.

Sound Partners and Calico Group have jointly acquired Tradewinds Mechanical, LLC, a Las Vegas–based commercial HVAC‑R services company, and have combined it with acquisitions of S&R Air Conditioning (Los Angeles) and Climate Specialists (Austin) to form The Mechanical Group. The investors plan to grow a Southwest HVAC‑R platform, retain existing operating teams (with Steven Brayet serving as President and Matt Shaw as COO), and continue expanding service offerings; financial terms were not disclosed.

TransTech Energy, a portfolio company of Bridge Industries, through a newly formed subsidiary ENERGYneering Solutions, LLC, acquired a majority ownership stake in ENERGYneering Solutions, Inc., a biogas engineering and services provider based in Sisters, Oregon. The add-on expands TransTech’s biogas engineering, construction, operations and maintenance capabilities and strengthens its West Coast presence while ENERGYneering’s president Benny Benson will retain an ownership stake and remain as president.
