New State Capital Partners has acquired AVEX, a leading North American dealer and maintenance provider for the Daher TBM turboprop, from founder Terry Winson, who is retiring. AVEX — which operates in California and Colorado and provides aircraft sales, maintenance and aftermarket services — will serve as the anchor investment for New State's new aviation platform; terms were not disclosed.

Concord Acquires Mojo Music & Media Publishing Catalog

Sony Music Masterworks Acquires Majority Stake in Black Sky Creative

Sony Music Masterworks, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, has acquired a majority stake in Los Angeles-based Black Sky Creative, an experiential production and design company that produces immersive entertainment, experiential retail and live experiences. Black Sky's founder Jeff Delson and partners will continue to run day-to-day operations and will collaborate with Masterworks to scale experiential properties across music, social media, children's entertainment, film/TV and gaming.

Sony Music Publishing Acquires Hipgnosis Songs Group

Sony Music Publishing has acquired Hipgnosis Songs Group (the former Big Deal Music Group), including its publishing-administration business and roughly 4,400 songs/copyright interests, from Recognition Music Group. Under the deal, Sony will own and administer the Hipgnosis Songs Group catalog and serve as full-service publisher for its roster, while Recognition Music Group retains its broader catalogue and investment business.

Exceleration Music Acquires Mack Avenue Music Group

SP Media Group Acquires Avenue Six Studios
