Cisco Systems Acquires Epsagon to Bolster Full-Stack Observability

Cisco Systems has acquired Epsagon, a cloud-native observability and distributed tracing vendor, to strengthen its full-stack observability offerings for cloud-native environments. Terms were undisclosed, though some reports (Globes, TechCrunch) cited a price around $500 million. The deal is intended to accelerate Cisco's roadmap across AppDynamics, ThousandEyes and Intersight by adding Epsagon's tracing and telemetry capabilities for containers and serverless architectures.
