Permira Acquires Majority Stake in Acuity Knowledge Partners from Equistone

Funds advised by Permira have acquired a majority stake in Acuity Knowledge Partners from Equistone Partners Europe; Equistone will reinvest as a minority shareholder and Acuity's management remains significantly invested. Headquartered in London, Acuity is a provider of research, analytics and business intelligence to financial services firms worldwide; Permira plans to support further investment in teams, services and technology to drive growth and geographic expansion. The deal is subject to customary regulatory approvals and was expected to close in Q2 2023; financial terms were not disclosed.

Edmentum Acquires Apex Learning

Edmentum has entered a definitive agreement to acquire Apex Learning, a Seattle-based provider of digital curriculum and virtual learning for middle and high school students. The acquisition expands Edmentum's K-12 product suite—adding Apex's credit-bearing courses and virtual learning capabilities—and follows prior investment in Edmentum by The Vistria Group; Apex's prior investor Education Growth Partners was noted in the announcement.

Curriculum Associates Acquires Mentoring Minds

The acquisition will migrate Mentoring Minds' ThinkUp! content into the Teacher Toolbox for i-Ready to expand Curriculum Associates' curriculum offerings and support educators with additional instructional resources.

Quad-C Management Acquires Learners Edge from L Squared Capital Partners

The business, headquartered in London and operating across nine delivery centres worldwide, will rebrand as Acuity Knowledge Partners and continue to be led by its incumbent management team, who invested alongside Equistone.
