Heidelberg Materials North America Acquires Carver Sand & Gravel

Heidelberg Materials North America has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Carver Sand & Gravel, the largest aggregates producer in the Albany, New York area. The deal includes four quarries, three sand and gravel pits, a trucking business, two asphalt plants, roughly 70 million metric tons of reserves and about 200 employees, and is positioned as a bolt-on to expand Heidelberg's footprint in the New York market.

Keystone Cement Transitions to Independent Operations as Heidelberg Materials Acquires Giant Cement Holding

American AllWaste (NewHold) Acquires Highway Environmental

American AllWaste LLC, a platform of NewHold Enterprises, acquired the assets of Highway Environmental, LLC, a Chattanooga-based provider of non-hazardous liquid-waste transportation and landfill leachate services. Financial terms were not disclosed; the deal expands AllWaste's footprint across the southeastern and midwestern United States and strengthens its liquid-waste transportation and leachate capabilities.
