Chroma Color Corporation acquired Spectra Color, Inc., a Corona, California-based custom manufacturer of colorants, masterbatch and pre-colored resin compounds. The deal expands Chroma Color's West Coast manufacturing footprint and enhances its colorant and resin capabilities to better serve medical, healthcare, agriculture and consumer end-markets.

Prince International (American Securities) Acquires Ferro Corporation and Combines with Chromaflo to Form Vibrantz Technologies

Prince International Corporation, a portfolio company of American Securities LLC, acquired Ferro Corporation for $22.00 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $2.1 billion. At closing, Prince combined Ferro with Chromaflo Technologies (also an American Securities portfolio company) and rebranded the combined business as Vibrantz Technologies, a global leader in color solutions, performance coatings and advanced materials.

ChromaScape Acquires CEL Chemical

ChromaScape, a specialty colorants and additives supplier backed by Heartwood Partners, has acquired CEL Chemical, a Piedmont, South Carolina-based manufacturer of adhesives, additives and modifiers for the corrugated paperboard packaging industry. The acquisition expands ChromaScape's packaging chemical product line and follows the retirement of CEL Chemical founder Jim Messenger; Heartwood Partners supported the transaction as the sponsor of ChromaScape.

Graco Inc. Acquires Color Service S.r.l.

Graco Inc. has completed the acquisition of Color Service S.r.l., an Italian manufacturer of automated precision dosing systems for powders and liquids, for €63 million (subject to customary adjustments). Color Service had 2024 revenue of €34 million, approximately 140 employees worldwide and is headquartered in Italy; Graco said the acquisition strengthens its powder handling portfolio and supports its global expansion strategy.

Pharmacosmos A/S Acquires AbFero Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Pharmacosmos A/S (Pharmacosmos Group) has agreed to acquire all assets of Boston-based clinical-stage AbFero Pharmaceuticals, Inc. under a share purchase agreement for up to $225 million including upfront, milestone, and royalty components. The acquisition adds AbFero’s SP-420 iron chelation program to Pharmacosmos’ iron-metabolism-focused R&D and commercial capabilities to accelerate development and commercialization for transfusional iron overload and related indications.

Americo Chemical (Harbour Group) Acquires Fusion Chemical

Americo Chemical Products, a Harbour Group company, has acquired Fusion Chemical, a Huntington, Indiana-based maker of specialty metalworking fluids. The deal brings Fusion's founder Matt East and his team into Americo and expands Americo's product portfolio with next-generation lubricants and coolants; terms were not disclosed.
