DirectMed Parts & Service, a portfolio company of NMS Capital, has acquired ScanMed LLC, an Omaha-based designer, manufacturer and repairer of OEM-certified MRI coils. The add-on deal expands DirectMed's MRI coil manufacturing and repair capabilities and supports ScanMed's planned expansion into Europe via DirectMed's Danish subsidiary LBN Medical.

DirectMed Parts & Service, a private equity-backed aftermarket diagnostic imaging parts and service provider, has acquired Technical Prospects, a leading supplier of aftermarket parts, training, and support for Siemens medical imaging equipment based in Appleton, Wisconsin. The deal — executed by DirectMed (a portfolio company of NMS Capital) — expands DirectMed's Siemens expertise and parts/modality coverage across CT, MRI, cath-angio, ultrasound, mammography and other imaging modalities; terms were not disclosed.

Frazier Healthcare Partners Acquires DirectMed Imaging from NMS Capital

DirectMed, based in Poway, California, is a provider of aftermarket parts, repairs and systems for diagnostic imaging equipment; Frazier will support organic and acquisitive growth to expand modalities and global reach. DirectMed Imaging Acquires Majority of Richardson Healthcare (Fort Mill, SC)

DirectMed Imaging has acquired a majority of Richardson Electronics' Richardson Healthcare reportable segment, including the Fort Mill, South Carolina operation, in a transaction that closed January 24, 2025. Richardson Electronics will consolidate remaining healthcare assets into its PMT segment and enter a 10-year global supply agreement with DirectMed for repaired Siemens CT X-ray tubes while DirectMed expands its CT tube manufacturing, parts inventory and training capabilities.
