Pangiam Acquires veriScan from Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority

Pangiam, a PE-backed identity-management and travel-security technology provider, acquired veriScan — an integrated biometric facial-recognition system developed by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority — to expand its airport and airline biometrics offerings. The veriScan solution, which has been used by more than 40 airlines and processed over 1.3 million passengers, will be scaled through Pangiam's cloud-based platform; terms were not disclosed.
