ISTE Acquires EdSurge to Transition the EdTech Newsroom to Nonprofit

The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) has agreed to acquire EdSurge and transition the venture-backed edtech news outlet into a nonprofit. The move will fold EdSurge's roughly 30 employees and editorial operation into ISTE to provide members with more real-time news, research and convenings while opening up new foundation funding opportunities.
