Kaulig Capital Acquires Torsion Group Corporation

Kaulig Capital, the family office of the Kaulig Companies, acquired Torsion Group Corporation (TGC), a vertically integrated manufacturer and distributor of garage door parts and accessories, from MCM Capital Partners. The transaction gives Kaulig control of TGC’s manufacturing footprint (including a 60,000 sq. ft. plant in Evansville, IN and a 70,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Strongsville, OH), its nationwide distribution network and e-commerce channel North Shore Commercial Door (NSCD).

The Timken Company Acquires CGI, Inc.

The Timken Company has completed its acquisition of CGI, Inc., a family-owned Nevada manufacturer of precision drive systems that serves automation markets with a concentration in medical robotics. CGI employs roughly 130 people and is expected to generate about $45 million in sales in 2024; the acquisition expands Timken's precision motion-control portfolio and capabilities.

Cloyes Gear & Products Acquires Automotive Tensioners, Inc.

Cloyes Gear & Products, a Fort Smith, Arkansas-based designer and manufacturer of timing drive systems, has acquired Denton, Texas-based Automotive Tensioners, Inc. (ATI), a supplier of front-end accessory drive pulleys and tensioners for the automotive aftermarket. The add-on strengthens Cloyes' aftermarket product portfolio and distribution reach, building on recent platform activity including the Rotomaster acquisition.

The Timken Company Acquires Engineered Solutions Group (iMECH)

The Timken Company has agreed to acquire Engineered Solutions Group (also known as Innovative Mechanical Solutions or iMECH), a Houston-based manufacturer of thrust and radial bearings, specialty coatings and other components serving the energy industry. iMECH employs approximately 70 people and projects about $30 million in revenue for 2023; Timken will fund the purchase with cash on hand and its existing revolving credit facility and expects the deal to close in the fourth quarter.

Torsion Group Corp Acquires North Shore Commercial Door

The deal expands TGC’s e-commerce presence, broadens its product offering and provides access to DIY customers and dealers outside TGC’s traditional channels.

Harrington Process Solutions Acquires Cortrol Process Systems

Harrington Process Solutions has acquired Cortrol Process Systems, a Tulsa-based distributor and fabricator of non-metallic, corrosion-resistant flow-control products. The acquisition expands Harrington's flow-control product portfolio and fabrication capabilities to better serve chemical processing, municipal water, and industrial customers across the Midwest and Gulf Coast; financial terms were not disclosed.
