Bergs Timber Acquires Hedlunda Holding AB

Bergs Timber AB has acquired all shares in Hedlunda Holding AB, a manufacturer of wooden furniture and components with production sites in Lycksele, Sweden and Skoczów, Poland. The acquisition (purchase price ~SEK 140 million for the shares; total purchase price SEK 225 million on a cash- and debt-free basis) expands Bergs's wood-processing capabilities and creates a new Furniture & Components product area; Hedlunda reported ~SEK 620 million in trailing twelve-month sales and employs about 400 people.

National Manufacturing Group Acquires J.M. Hutton & Co.

National Manufacturing Group, a multi-plant OEM supplier based in Troy, Michigan, has acquired J.M. Hutton & Co., a Richmond, Indiana metal fabricator with a 275,000-square-foot production facility. The deal expands National's metal stamping, laser cutting, and powder-coating capabilities and advances its vertical-integration strategy to better serve OEM customers in vocational truck, medical, food service and casket markets.

Industrial Growth Partners VI, L.P., in partnership with the Corbett family, Hultec management and certain outside investors, has acquired Hultec USA, Inc., S&B Technical Products, Inc. and their affiliates. Hultec, founded in 1981 and headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, designs, manufactures and distributes elastomer gaskets, seals and related products for the water, industrial and agricultural end markets. The acquisition is a platform investment for IGP aimed at supporting a family ownership transition and accelerating Hultec's growth initiatives.

Thorlabs Acquires JML Optical Industries

Thorlabs has agreed to acquire JML Optical Industries, a Rochester, New York-based designer and manufacturer of precision optics, with the deal expected to close in January 2023. JML will operate as Thorlabs Lens Systems (TLS) in Rochester, expanding Thorlabs' optics manufacturing footprint and QuickTurn optics capabilities; prior owner Five Points Capital is the selling party noted in reports.

BlackHawk Industrial Acquires J&S Tool Inc

BlackHawk Industrial, a US-based industrial distributor, has acquired J&S Tool Inc., a cutting-tool distributor, manufacturer and reconditioner located in O'Fallon, Missouri. The acquisition expands BlackHawk's distribution and manufacturing footprint in the St. Louis and Southern Illinois markets and adds precision reconditioning and manufacturing capabilities; financial terms were not disclosed.

The Jordan Company Acquires Sabre Industries from Kohlberg

The Jordan Company, L.P. (TJC) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Sabre Industries, Inc. in partnership with Sabre's existing management from Kohlberg Investors VII (managed by Kohlberg & Company). Sabre, a leading U.S. manufacturer of engineered structures for electric transmission and wireless communications, operates five manufacturing facilities and approximately 2,400 employees; TJC intends to support operational improvements, organic growth and add-on acquisitions.
