Mobile Communications America (MCA) has acquired Communications Electronics, Inc. (CEI), a Timonium, Maryland-based full-service communications provider that supports public safety agencies, schools, hospitals and enterprises across the Mid-Atlantic. The transaction expands MCA’s service footprint in the Mid-Atlantic and adds CEI’s mission-critical communications capabilities and customer relationships to MCA’s portfolio.

Mission Critical Electronics (Windjammer) Acquires Purkeys Fleet Electric

Windjammer Capital Investors’ portfolio company Mission Critical Electronics (MCE) has acquired Purkeys Fleet Electric, a North American developer, manufacturer, and distributor of electric power solutions for truck fleets, liftgate and trailer manufacturers, dealers, and OEMs. The add-on strengthens MCE’s Vehicle Power business by expanding its aftermarket product portfolio and capabilities in vehicle electrification; financial terms were not disclosed.
