Confluent Medical Acquires Tube Hollows International (THI)

Confluent Medical (formerly Nitinol Devices & Components) has acquired Tube Hollows International to launch a High-Performance Nitinol Tubing Center of Excellence. The acquisition brings THI’s precision gun-drilling, centerless grinding and machining capabilities to Confluent’s offering for high-performance implantable device tubing (e.g., trans-catheter heart valves, neurovascular and electrophysiology applications).

Accu-Tube, a precision small-diameter stainless steel tubing manufacturer backed by Washington Equity Partners, has acquired Mercury Tube, a nearby Englewood, Colorado manufacturer of high-precision stainless steel and high-nickel alloy tubing. Mercury Tube will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary out of its 40,000 sq. ft. facility; the deal expands Accu-Tube's product range and capabilities—particularly for medical and aerospace end markets.

Molded Devices, Inc. (MDI), majority‑owned by TruArc Partners, acquired GlobalMed Inc. (Canada) and Schauenburg‑Truplast (China) from Schauenburg Hose Technology. The deal expands MDI’s extrusion and tubing capabilities for medical device OEMs, adding GlobalMed’s Canadian and Chinese production footprint and management team to MDI’s global manufacturing platform. Financial terms were not disclosed.
