Avita Care Solutions, a Plano-based national health care services organization backed by Kinderhook Industries, has acquired three San Antonio specialty pharmacy locations (Laurel Heights, Pavilion, and Empire) from Lifecare Pharmacy. The add-on transaction expands Avita's footprint and enhances its ability to provide HIV, PrEP, LGBTQ+ and sexual wellness care to patients and covered-entity partners in the San Antonio market. Terms were not disclosed.

Kinderhook Industries acquired Paramount Specialty Pharmacy (Melville, NY) and PharmBlue Holdings (Warrendale, PA) and combined them with prior Covered Entity-focused pharmacy investments to form the consolidated platform Avita. The combined company positions Avita as a nationwide provider of Covered Entity pharmacy solutions with a portfolio of roughly 63 pharmacies and a Dallas, Texas headquarters to serve Ryan White/STD grantees, AIDS service organizations, and Federally Qualified Health Centers.
