Avita Care Solutions Acquires Three Lifecare Pharmacy Locations in San Antonio

Avita Care Solutions, a Plano-based national health care services organization backed by Kinderhook Industries, has acquired three San Antonio specialty pharmacy locations (Laurel Heights, Pavilion, and Empire) from Lifecare Pharmacy. The add-on transaction expands Avita's footprint and enhances its ability to provide HIV, PrEP, LGBTQ+ and sexual wellness care to patients and covered-entity partners in the San Antonio market. Kinderhook Industries acquired Paramount Specialty Pharmacy (Melville, NY) and PharmBlue Holdings (Warrendale, PA) and combined them with prior Covered Entity-focused pharmacy investments to form the consolidated platform Avita. The combined company positions Avita as a nationwide provider of Covered Entity pharmacy solutions with a portfolio of roughly 63 pharmacies and a Dallas, Texas headquarters to serve Ryan White/STD grantees, AIDS service organizations, and Federally Qualified Health Centers.
