Upland Software, a publicly traded provider of cloud-based knowledge and content management software, has acquired BA Insight, a provider of enterprise search solutions. The acquisition (approximately $33.4M cash plus a $0.6M holdback) expands Upland's knowledge management portfolio by adding enterprise search and AI-driven search capabilities and is expected to be immediately accretive to Adjusted EBITDA.

Sinch AB Acquires Inteliquent for U.S. Voice Leadership

Sinch AB agreed to acquire Inteliquent, the largest independent U.S. voice communications provider, for $1.14 billion in cash to broaden its CPaaS offering and establish leadership in U.S. voice. The acquisition gives Sinch Inteliquent's carrier-grade network, extensive phone-number inventory and voice APIs; closing is subject to customary regulatory approvals including CFIUS and FCC and was expected in H2 2021.

Enghouse Systems Limited Acquires CTI Group (Holdings) Inc.

Enghouse Systems Limited has completed the acquisition of CTI Group (Holdings) Inc. for U$0.61 per share, representing a 76% premium to the prior closing price. CTI, an Indianapolis-headquartered provider of carrier-grade analytics, call recording and enterprise communications management software, will complement Enghouse's telecommunications operator solutions; Cherry Tree acted as advisor to CTI's board.

Upland Software Acquires Panviva

Upland Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: UPLD) has acquired Panviva Pty Ltd, a cloud-based enterprise knowledge-management (KM) provider, to expand Upland’s knowledge-guided customer service and contact-center offerings. The deal was funded with $19.8 million cash at closing plus a $3.5 million cash holdback; Panviva is expected to contribute approximately $7.5 million of recurring annual revenue and the transaction led Upland to raise its 2021 guidance.

CCi Voice Acquires IP Genie to Expand Northeast Footprint and Municipal Capabilities

CCi Voice, a Redding, Connecticut-based provider of cloud-based voice and unified communications solutions, has acquired IP Genie, a South Windsor phone service company serving municipalities, schools, libraries, nonprofits and businesses across Connecticut. The deal brings IP Genie’s president and seven team members into CCi Voice, adds VoIP/UC capabilities and a no-bid state contract for municipal purchases, and expands CCi Voice’s offerings to include video surveillance and access control.

InGenius Acquires Recruiting Platform SIMPL

Mortgage data intelligence firm InGenius has acquired SIMPL, a recruiting platform built by industry operators Fobby Naghmi and John Perry, and integrated it into the InGenius 2.0 system. The acquisition is intended to add structured recruiting workflows, market data integration, and automation to help branch and producing managers recruit more efficiently.
