R&R Express Family of Companies has acquired Load to Ride (LTR), a Denver-based regional and national transportation and logistics provider. The deal adds LTR's fleet of more than 100 trucks, 200 trailers, warehousing and maintenance capabilities to R&R Express and provides a gateway to West Coast cross-dock and storage services.

Machine Solutions Inc. Acquires Alpine Laser LLC

Machine Solutions Inc., a provider of equipment and services to the medical device industry and a platform owned by BW Forsyth Partners, has acquired Alpine Laser LLC, a Minneapolis-based maker of laser processing workstations and development support. The acquisition adds laser processing capabilities to Machine Solutions' portfolio and is the company's ninth acquisition since joining the BW Forsyth Partners family.

CD&R to Acquire Majority Stake in Roper Technologies' Industrial Businesses

Roper Technologies agreed to sell a majority stake in its industrial businesses (its entire Process Technologies segment and the industrial businesses within Measurement & Analytical Solutions) to affiliates of Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) for approximately $2.6 billion in upfront pre-tax cash while retaining a 49% minority interest. The package—which includes Alpha, AMOT, CCC, Cornell, Dynisco, FTI, Hansen, Hardy, Logitech, Metrix, PAC, Roper Pump, Struers, Technolog, Uson and Viatran—generated about $940 million of revenue and $260 million of EBITDA in 2021; CD&R will operate the businesses as a standalone platform to pursue organic and inorganic growth.

Westcap Mgt. Ltd., through syndication of its funds (Westcap MBO II Investment LP and Golden Opportunities Fund Inc.), partnered with management (AcquireCo/2223890 Alberta Ltd., controlled by Matthew Campbell and Garrett Ganden) to complete a go-private acquisition of Rocky Mountain Equipment. AcquireCo purchased all outstanding common shares for CAD $7.41 per share (approximately CAD $127.9 million aggregate), taking RME private; RME is Canada’s largest independent agriculture equipment dealer with ~36 branches across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Kyocera Acquires SLD Laser (Soraa Laser Diode, Inc.)

Kyocera Corporation has agreed to acquire 100% ownership of California-based SLD Laser (formally Soraa Laser Diode, Inc.), a developer and manufacturer of gallium nitride (GaN) based laser light sources. SLD Laser commercializes high-brightness laser products for mobility, specialty lighting, consumer and industrial applications and will become a Kyocera group company upon regulatory approval.

Warrior Technologies Acquires Lobo Trucking

Midland-based Warrior Technologies has acquired Lobo Trucking, expanding its footprint into the Delaware Basin across Texas and New Mexico. The acquisition adds about 53 employees and 46 operating units, strengthens Warrior's vacuum-truck and remediation capabilities, and will keep Lobo operating under its existing brand from yards in Hobbs and Artesia, New Mexico.
