ASSA ABLOY Acquires Kingspan Door Components

ASSA ABLOY has acquired Kingspan Door Components, a Belgian manufacturer of sectional door panels based in Leuze-En-Hainaut. The business, founded in 1983 with about 70 employees and 2024 sales of approximately EUR 25 million, will be integrated into ASSA ABLOY's Entrance Systems Division to expand its sectional doors and components portfolio.

The acquisition (subject to regulatory approval) expands ASSA ABLOY's product portfolio with complementary architectural and fenestration hardware and strengthens its UK & Ireland market position; Arran Isle has ~560 employees and reported ~£100m sales in 2020.

ASSA ABLOY has acquired Premier Steel Doors and Frames, a Monroe, Louisiana-based manufacturer of hollow metal doors and frames, metal building door systems, and aluminium windows. Premier has about 90 employees and reported approximately $40 million in sales for 2023; ASSA ABLOY says the acquisition strengthens its product portfolio and presence in the southern US and will be accretive to EPS.

ASSA ABLOY has acquired Canadian commercial-hardware providers Lawrence Hardware and Gallery Specialty, adding complementary hinges, locksets, exit devices and door-hardware accessories to its product portfolio. The two Toronto-based businesses employ about 50 people combined and reported ~CAD 25 million in 2022 sales; ASSA ABLOY said the acquisition is accretive to EPS from the start.
