ASSA ABLOY has acquired International Door Products (IDP), a U.S. manufacturer of standard and custom fire-rated steel door frames based in Southfield, Michigan. IDP employs about 80 people, generated roughly $29 million in 2024 sales, and the acquisition strengthens ASSA ABLOY’s U.S. steel frame portfolio and is accretive to earnings per share from the start.

Premier Steel Doors and Frames has acquired MegaMet Industries, a Birmingham, Alabama-based manufacturer of specialty hollow metal doors (acoustic, blast-proof, ballistic and RF-shield). The deal, sourced and announced by OpenGate Capital, is an add-on to Premier within the S&G family of brands and expands Premier's product offering and capabilities across government, medical and commercial end markets; terms were not disclosed.

MPI, founded in 1980, has about 170 employees and reported approximately $22 million in sales for 2024; the acquisition is intended to expand ASSA ABLOY’s product offering and strengthen its regional US footprint and delivery capabilities.
