ASSA ABLOY Acquires Lawrence Doors

ASSA ABLOY has acquired Lawrence Doors, a US manufacturer of coiling steel doors, grilles and counter shutters based in Baldwin Park, California. The acquisition expands ASSA ABLOY's entrance systems portfolio and strengthens its presence on the US West Coast by adding complementary products and capabilities.

ASSA ABLOY Acquires Premier Steel Doors and Frames

ASSA ABLOY has acquired Premier Steel Doors and Frames, a Monroe, Louisiana-based manufacturer of hollow metal doors and frames, metal building door systems, and aluminium windows. Premier has about 90 employees and reported approximately $40 million in sales for 2023; ASSA ABLOY says the acquisition strengthens its product portfolio and presence in the southern US and will be accretive to EPS.

ASSA ABLOY has acquired Sunray Engineering Group Ltd, a UK designer and manufacturer of high‑specification steel and timber security doors, fire doors and louvre systems. Sunray, founded in 1980 and headquartered in Kent with about 70 employees and ~£12m in 2022 sales, will strengthen ASSA ABLOY's door specification offering and presence in the UK and EMEIA markets.

ASSA ABLOY has acquired International Door Products (IDP), a U.S. manufacturer of standard and custom fire-rated steel door frames based in Southfield, Michigan. IDP employs about 80 people, generated roughly $29 million in 2024 sales, and the acquisition strengthens ASSA ABLOY’s U.S. steel frame portfolio and is accretive to earnings per share from the start.

ASSA ABLOY to Acquire SKIDATA

ASSA ABLOY has signed an agreement to acquire SKIDATA, a leading provider of access management solutions headquartered in Salzburg, Austria, from the Kudelski Group. The acquisition, expected to close in Q3 2024 subject to regulatory approval, will integrate SKIDATA into ASSA ABLOY's Entrance Systems Division to expand complementary products and capabilities in access solutions.

The acquisition (subject to regulatory approval) expands ASSA ABLOY's product portfolio with complementary architectural and fenestration hardware and strengthens its UK & Ireland market position; Arran Isle has ~560 employees and reported ~£100m sales in 2020.
