AAMP Global, a designer and manufacturer of vehicle aftermarket technology, has acquired AudioControl, a Seattle-based maker of premium audio products for automotive, residential, and commercial markets. AudioControl will remain led by CEO Alex Camara, who will join AAMP's leadership team to lead audio growth initiatives and leverage AAMP's vehicle integration platforms to accelerate product development and market expansion.

The Halifax Group Acquires AAMP Global from Audax Private Equity

The Halifax Group completed an investment to acquire AAMP Global (AAMP Holdings, Inc.), a Clearwater, Florida-based manufacturer of vehicle aftermarket and OEM technology, from Audax Private Equity. Halifax partnered with CEO Jamie Fraser and AAMP's management team and said it will pursue organic growth and add-on acquisitions to expand the business in the U.S. and internationally; terms were not disclosed.

AAMP Global Acquires M2M in Motion

AAMP Global has acquired M2M in Motion, a fleet intelligence and telematics software provider, to integrate fleet management software into its automotive hardware and aftermarket product portfolio. The acquisition will combine M2M in Motion’s Fleet Motion platform with AAMP’s engineering, manufacturing and installer network to accelerate product development and broaden offerings for commercial and passenger vehicle customers.

AEM (IGP Portfolio Company) Acquires Renaissance Electronics & Communications

AEM, a San Diego–based designer and manufacturer of mission-critical electronic circuit protection components and a portfolio company of Industrial Growth Partners (IGP), acquired Renaissance Electronics & Communications (and its subsidiary HXI) on February 3, 2022. The deal expands AEM’s high-reliability component offering to include RF and millimeter-wave products, strengthening its position with space and defense customers and enabling cross-selling and geographic expansion.

Altamont Capital Partners Acquires Assets of WAVE Electronics, Inc.

Altamont Capital Partners has acquired certain assets of WAVE Electronics, Inc., a U.S. distributor of connected-home, audio/video, and residential security products with nine branches. The investment provides liquidity to support WAVE’s operations, expand inventory, and fund growth initiatives (including potential footprint expansion and acquisitions), while WAVE’s senior management will remain in place.

Holley Acquires AEM Performance Electronics

Holley has acquired substantially all of the assets of Advanced Engine Management, Inc. (dba AEM Performance Electronics) for $52 million. The deal expands Holley's electronic control and monitoring product offerings for performance and EV-conversion enthusiasts; Holley expects AEM to contribute pro forma 2021 sales of $26 million.
