LifePoint Health agreed to acquire Kindred Healthcare in June 2021 and completed the transaction in December 2021, combining LifePoint's community hospital network with Kindred's long-term acute care, rehabilitation and behavioral health capabilities. The deal created a new national system, ScionHealth, and LifePoint committed to invest roughly $1.5 billion over three years to expand services, technology and community-based care.

Lifepoint Health Acquires Cornerstone Behavioral Health El Dorado

Lifepoint Health has acquired Cornerstone Behavioral Health El Dorado, a 54-bed inpatient behavioral health facility in Tucson, Arizona that employs roughly 100 people. Lifepoint said the facility will be integrated into its Lifepoint Behavioral Health platform and that it plans to invest in growth, adding nearly 50 beds to expand capacity and access to behavioral health services.

BayMark Health Services Acquires Limestone Health's Indiana Opioid Treatment Programs

U.S. Physical Therapy, Inc. closed the previously announced acquisition of a 50% equity interest in an unnamed management services organization that provides management and administrative services to 50 outpatient physical therapy clinics, the majority of which are in New York, with plans to expand further in New York and adjacent states. The managed clinics deliver physical, occupational and speech therapy in outpatient and in-home settings and the business generates approximately $64.0 million in annual revenue and approximately $12.0 million in annual EBITDA.
