SPS Companies Acquires US Wholesale Pipe & Tube

SPS Companies Inc. has acquired the assets of US Wholesale Pipe & Tube Inc., a Holiday, Florida-based distributor and manufacturer of galvanized mechanical steel pipe and tube products. The seller/owner Ed Rachel is stepping aside while the target's executive management (led by JR Baker and Rob Posavec) will remain; SPS said the deal expands its Tubular Products Group and distribution/manufacturing capabilities across five U.S. locations.
