Shipfusion Raises $40M Growth Equity from Kayne Partners

Shipfusion, a Chicago-based eCommerce fulfillment and order management platform, secured a $40.0 million growth equity investment from Kayne Partners (the growth private equity group of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors) to accelerate growth, expand strategic warehouse locations, and enhance its proprietary technology. As part of the financing, Leon Chen of Kayne Partners will join Shipfusion’s board to support the company’s continued expansion across North America and product development.

Descartes Systems Group Acquires Foxtrot

Descartes Systems Group acquired Foxtrot, a San Francisco-based provider of machine learning-driven mobile route execution solutions, for approximately US$4.0 million in cash. The acquisition strengthens Descartes' artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities within its route planning and execution suite and expands its capabilities in retail food and beverage distribution and last-mile logistics.

ShipX Acquires Princeton Logistics Group and TriStar Carriers

ButcherBox Acquires Truffle Shuffle

LaserShip Acquires OnTrac Logistics

LaserShip is acquiring West Coast parcel carrier OnTrac Logistics for approximately $1.3 billion, creating the largest regional parcel carrier in the United States by combining eastern and western networks. The combined company will expand LaserShip’s footprint coast-to-coast, increasing scale to better compete with national carriers and generate about $1.6 billion in combined revenue, according to Moody’s.

Freightos Acquires Shipsta

Freightos, the public global digital freight booking platform, has acquired Luxembourg-headquartered Shipsta to add multimodal tender and contract procurement capabilities to its spot pricing, quoting, and booking offering. The deal is being financed with cash (~€4.5m) and equity (approx. 640,000 Freightos shares) and is intended to expand Freightos' product capabilities, accelerate revenue growth, and increase total addressable market.
