Pet Network International Acquires Zoo Group Stefanov and Zvjerinjak

Pet Network International (PNI), a portfolio company of A&M Capital Europe, has acquired Bulgaria-based Zoo Group Stefanov (Dr. Stefanov) and Croatia-based Zvjerinjak. The transactions expand PNI’s omnichannel pet retail footprint across Southeast Europe by adding 29 stores in Bulgaria and 6 stores in Zagreb and folding the businesses into PNI’s existing banners and ecommerce platform.

MidEuropa Partners Acquires Majority Stake in Mlinar

MidEuropa Partners has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Croatian bakery chain Mlinar d.d. from founder Mato Skojo, who will retain a minority stake. The investment will support Mlinar's international expansion, accelerate store rollout and product innovation across its retail and wholesale bakery operations; the deal was expected to close in Q2 2019 subject to customary conditions.

Inspired Pet Nutrition (IPN), the CapVest-controlled UK pet food group, has agreed to acquire Butcher's Pet Care (BPC), a leading UK wet pet food manufacturer. The deal (terms undisclosed) will create an enlarged group with combined sales of approximately £350 million and is expected to close in Q4 2024; IPN will appoint Arthur van Benthem as CEO of the combined business.

Pinnacle Pet Group Acquires C&F Pet UK Operations (Pet Protect, VioVet)

Pinnacle Pet Group (PPG), a JAB-controlled pan-European pet insurance and health services platform, has completed the acquisition of the United Kingdom operations of Crum & Forster Pet Insurance Group (C&F Pet), including Pet Protect and VioVet. The deal adds ~70,000 Pet Protect customers and VioVet's ecommerce/e-pharmacy capabilities (≈900,000 transactions/year), expanding PPG's UK/European pet insurance footprint and non-insurance pet health services.
