onsemi Acquires SWIR Vision Systems

onsemi has completed the acquisition of SWIR Vision Systems, a North Carolina–based developer of colloidal quantum-dot (CQD) short-wave infrared (SWIR) imaging technology. The deal brings SWIR Vision Systems and its team into onsemi’s Intelligent Sensing Group to integrate CQD SWIR capabilities with onsemi’s CMOS sensor manufacturing to expand sensing capabilities across industrial, automotive and defense markets.
