Shoei Chemical Acquires Quantum Dot Business from Nanosys

Shoei Chemical, together with its North American subsidiary Shoei Electronic Materials, completed an asset purchase agreement to acquire substantially all assets of Nanosys' quantum dot business, including its sales and marketing teams, R&D team, and Silicon Valley laboratories. The deal brings Nanosys' quantum dot technology and IP under Shoei to strengthen Shoei's advanced materials and display-materials capabilities while retaining the Nanosys brand and operations in the U.S.

Quantum Computing Inc. (QCi) completed an all-cash acquisition of Luminar Semiconductor, Inc. (LSI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Luminar Technologies, in a transaction valued at $110 million. The deal brings LSI’s lasers, detectors, advanced packaging, and manufacturing capabilities into QCi’s thin-film lithium niobate photonics platform to create a vertically integrated, domestically manufactured photonics and quantum technology offering and to strengthen near-term revenue and defense/aerospace market access.

Quanta Services completed the acquisition of Dynamic Systems (DSI), a turnkey mechanical, plumbing and process infrastructure solutions provider headquartered in Austin, Texas. The transaction, which closed July 25, 2025, expands Quanta's mechanical construction and off-site fabrication capabilities, adds a ~2,400-employee platform and diversified end-market exposure (technology/semiconductor, healthcare, industrial) and was funded with cash and Quanta stock (approximately $1.35 billion upfront plus potential earnout).

DuPont has completed the separation of its electronics business into an independent, publicly traded company named Qnity Electronics. The spin-off was finalized on November 1, 2025; DuPont shareholders received one share of Qnity for every two DuPont shares (approximately 209 million Qnity shares were distributed) and Qnity began regular trading on the NYSE under the ticker "Q."
