Exosens (Euronext: EXENS) has completed the acquisition of Quebec City–based LR Tech, a developer and manufacturer of FTIR spectroradiometers. The purchase adds FTIR instruments to Exosens’ high-performance instrumentation portfolio—strengthening its offering for defense, aerospace, environmental and scientific research markets and supporting Exosens’ bolt-on growth strategy.

onsemi Acquires SWIR Vision Systems

onsemi has completed the acquisition of SWIR Vision Systems, a North Carolina–based developer of colloidal quantum-dot (CQD) short-wave infrared (SWIR) imaging technology. The deal brings SWIR Vision Systems and its team into onsemi’s Intelligent Sensing Group to integrate CQD SWIR capabilities with onsemi’s CMOS sensor manufacturing to expand sensing capabilities across industrial, automotive and defense markets.

IDEX Corporation Acquires Iridian Spectral Technologies

IDEX Corporation agreed to acquire Iridian Spectral Technologies for CAD 150 million and completed the acquisition in May 2023. Iridian, an Ottawa-based designer and manufacturer of thin-film optical filters serving laser communications, telecommunications and life sciences markets, will join IDEX's Optical Technologies within its Health & Science Technology segment to expand IDEX's optical coating and filter capabilities.

Luminar Technologies Acquires OptoGration Inc.

Luminar Technologies has acquired its exclusive InGaAs photodetector design partner and specialized fabrication partner, OptoGration Inc., securing chip IP and production capacity to support series production of its Iris lidar sensor. The deal brings OptoGration’s founders into Luminar, secures roughly one million InGaAs chips per year capacity (expandable), and deepens integration with Luminar’s Black Forest Engineering assets to accelerate production and reduce costs.
