Groupe HLD Acquires Photonis (now Exosens) from Ardian

Groupe HLD (HLD Europe) acquired Photonis Group (rebranded Exosens) from Ardian in 2021 in a reported €370 million buyout. Under HLD ownership Exosens expanded through nearly ten add-on acquisitions, grew to roughly 1,600–1,900 employees with ~€394m turnover, and completed an IPO on Euronext Paris in June 2024.

THEON INTERNATIONAL Acquires 9.77% Stake in Exosens from HLD Europe

HLD Europe has completed the sale of a 9.77% stake in Exosens to THEON INTERNATIONAL at a price of €54 per share. After the transaction HLD Europe retains a 22.35% stake in Exosens; THEON (a European night-vision and thermal imaging manufacturer) takes a strategic minority position in the company.

IDEX Corporation Acquires Iridian Spectral Technologies

IDEX Corporation agreed to acquire Iridian Spectral Technologies for CAD 150 million and completed the acquisition in May 2023. Iridian, an Ottawa-based designer and manufacturer of thin-film optical filters serving laser communications, telecommunications and life sciences markets, will join IDEX's Optical Technologies within its Health & Science Technology segment to expand IDEX's optical coating and filter capabilities.

Lynred Acquires New Imaging Technologies (NIT)

Lynred, a global provider of infrared detectors, is acquiring New Imaging Technologies (NIT), a French developer and manufacturer of SWIR InGaAs sensors and cameras. The deal, announced by Lynred, is intended to strengthen Lynred's leadership in the SWIR market by combining complementary supply chains and technical capabilities; the transaction is expected to close in Q4 2024 and is subject to customary conditions.

LIXTE Biotechnology Acquires Liora Technologies Europe Ltd

LIXTE Biotechnology Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: LIXT) has completed the acquisition of Liora Technologies Europe Ltd., a UK-based developer of the LiGHT proton therapy system. The deal brings Liora's proprietary LiGHT System and Daresbury-based operations into LIXTE as a wholly owned subsidiary to expand the company's capabilities into radiotherapy and pursue joint treatment-center revenue models.

Expro Acquires SolaSense Ltd

Expro has acquired 100% of UK-based SolaSense Ltd to integrate distributed fiber optic sensing (DFOS) capabilities into its well integrity and intervention offering. The acquisition brings SolaSense's portable DAS/DTS processing software and visualization tools into Expro's global well services portfolio, enabling faster wellsite analysis and expanded DFOS-enabled well surveillance services.
