Viterra Acquires Gavilon's Grain and Ingredients Business

Viterra Limited has closed its purchase of the grain and ingredients business of Gavilon Agriculture Investment, Inc. from Marubeni America Corporation for US$1.125 billion plus working capital and customary adjustments. The acquisition adds Gavilon's origination, storage and distribution footprint across major U.S. growing regions to Viterra's global agriculture network and will be integrated under the Viterra brand.

Solina Acquires W.T. Lynch Foods Limited

Solina has acquired W.T. Lynch Foods Limited, an Ontario-based manufacturer of sauces, syrups, dessert toppings and soup/gravy bases, to accelerate its North American expansion. Lynch Foods generates approximately CAD 95M in annual sales and its 178 employees and leadership team will join Solina, increasing Solina's Canadian headcount and coast-to-coast capabilities.

C.J. Foods Acquires American Nutrition, Creating Largest Independent Super Premium Pet Food Manufacturer

Woodland Foods Acquires Idan Foods

The acquisition is a strategic add-on to Woodland’s platform intended to expand its finished-product offerings, R&D and manufacturing capabilities, and customer reach across foodservice and industrial channels; The DAK Group served as advisor to Idan Foods' owners.

Cannae Holdings and KDSA Acquire Majority Stake in The Watkins Company

Cannae Holdings, Inc. and KDSA Investment Partners agreed to acquire a majority stake in The Watkins Company, a 156-year-old U.S. heritage brand known for spices, seasonings and extracts. Mark Jacobs, the current majority owner and chairman, will roll a significant equity stake into the transaction, which is expected to close in October 2024 and aims to drive growth across retail, new channels and geographies.
