Tjoapack Acquires Pharma Packaging Solutions to Expand into the United States

Netherlands-based contract packager Tjoapack has acquired Clinton, Tennessee-based Pharma Packaging Solutions (PPS). The deal, funded by Ampersand Capital Partners (Tjoapack's PE backer), gives Tjoapack a major U.S. facility and cold-chain / supply‑chain capabilities to accelerate its global expansion in pharmaceutical packaging and related services.

PPC Flex Acquires SÜDPACK's US Operations

The Carlyle Group Makes Growth Investment in Pharmapacks

The Carlyle Group made a strategic growth investment of more than $250 million in Pharmapacks, an ecommerce marketplace enablement platform and large marketplace seller, valuing the company at approximately $1.1 billion. The capital is intended to accelerate Pharmapacks' growth by expanding fulfillment capacity, building out its data and analytics platform, and increasing the number of brand partners; J.P. Morgan served as lender and advisor on the transaction.

Patriot Capital provided subordinated debt and an equity co-investment to support the add-on acquisition, which expands SDS Rx’s geographic coverage and route density in the long-term care pharmacy market.
