Wide Group Acquires Milan-based Assileo Broker

The deal expands Wide Group's scale and specialist capability in the Milan market and adds geographic reach into Genoa as part of its ongoing consolidation strategy in Italy.

Wide Group, the Pollen Street-backed Italian commercial broking consolidator, has acquired A.I.C. Broker S.r.l (AIC), a commercial lines insurance broker based in the Abruzzo region of Italy. AIC—specializing in construction and engineering insurance and with intermediated premiums growing from €8m in 2019 to an expected ~€40m in 2024—will join Wide Group with senior AIC leadership joining as partners while founder Alessandro D'Ilario remains involved.

Orlando-based insurance brokerage AssuredPartners has acquired Italiano Insurance Services, Inc., a Tampa-based insurance agency with offices in Tampa and Boca Grande, Florida. The Italiano team will remain under the operational leadership of Jeffrey Italiano and Nelson "Nat" Italiano and will join AssuredPartners' Southeast Region to expand AP's presence and capabilities along the Gulf Coast.
