Nexus Capital Management LP and HDT Global have acquired Aviation Ground Equipment Corp. (AGEC), a veteran-owned manufacturer and distributor of aviation ground support equipment. The deal was structured as a new entity within the HDT portfolio to expand HDT's aircraft ground power and thermal management capabilities for military and commercial aviation programs, including support for F-35 and B-21 programs.

New Mountain Capital Acquires Horizon Group Holdings from Sun Capital Affiliate

New Mountain Capital has acquired Horizon Group Holdings, LLC (Horizon Services) from an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners. Horizon, a Newark, Delaware-based residential provider of heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical services with a ~1,400-employee team, will remain managed by founder Dave Geiger and management, and will use New Mountain's capital and resources to accelerate organic and acquisition-led growth.

Clean Solutions Group (Branford Castle Partners) Acquires HDK Industries

Clean Solutions Group (CSG), a platform backed by private equity firm Branford Castle Partners, acquired HDK Industries and will consolidate the HDK brand into its Fibrix Filtration business. The add-on expands CSG’s nonwoven filtration and specialty medical materials capabilities across air, liquid and medical filtration end markets; terms were not disclosed.

HDT Global Acquires Federal-Fabrics-Fibers, Inc. (3F)

HDT Global, a Solon, Ohio-based manufacturer of expeditionary and defense solutions, has acquired Federal-Fabrics-Fibers, Inc. (3F), a Lowell, Massachusetts manufacturer of advanced woven and non-woven air-supported (AirBeam) shelter systems. The acquisition adds 2- and 3-D shaped woven AirBeam technology and rapid-prototyping capabilities to HDT's expeditionary shelter product portfolio to better serve U.S. government and allied military customers.

TD Bank Group Acquires Headlands Tech Global Markets

Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD) has agreed to acquire Headlands Tech Global Markets, LLC, a Chicago-based quantitative fixed-income trading and market-making business. The 15-person team and proprietary electronic trading platform will join TD Securities to strengthen its electronic bond trading infrastructure across municipal and investment-grade corporate bonds; the deal is expected to close mid-2021 subject to regulatory approvals.
