The capital from Frontier’s Fund V will support GovQA’s rollout of its Exchange Workflow Platform to government agencies nationwide, and Frontier has added Tim Bechtold (Vice President) to GovQA’s board.

Granicus Acquires SmartGov from Brightly Software (a Siemens company)

Granicus, a provider of government experience cloud solutions, has acquired SmartGov — the cloud-based permitting, compliance and licensing (PCL) solution — from Brightly Software, a Siemens company. The acquisition expands Granicus' Government Experience Cloud by adding cost-effective, cloud-based permitting and licensing capabilities to serve hundreds of U.S. cities, counties and state agencies.

Granicus Purchases Accela Legislative Management Business (IQM2)

Granicus has acquired Accela’s Legislative Management business (formerly IQM2), taking ownership of the unit’s operations, assets and customer contracts. The deal expands Granicus’s end-to-end legislative management and citizen engagement capabilities for local government clients and brings the IQM2 team and roughly 450 customers into Granicus’s public-sector software platform.

Granicus Acquires Indigov to Add Constituent Relationship Capabilities to Government Experience Cloud

The acquisition adds a universal inbox, intelligent case routing, automated responses and CDP-driven audience intelligence to Granicus’s platform to improve constituent engagement and government service delivery.

Harvest Partners, Vista Equity Partners and K1 Invest in Granicus

Granicus Acquires Calytera from BuildGroup

Granicus has acquired Calytera from BuildGroup to expand its cloud-based digital services for government agencies by integrating Calytera's Amanda permitting, compliance and licensing (PCL) and FOI capabilities. The acquisition is intended to accelerate digital transformation for public-sector customers across the US, Canada, UK and Australia; Vaquero served as financial adviser to Calytera on the deal.
