A consortium led by Allianz with participation from BlackRock, Generali Financial Holdings, Hannover Re and T&D Holdings completed the acquisition of Viridium Group from Cinven (Cinven Fund 5) for approximately €3.5 billion. Viridium, a leading German life‑insurance consolidation platform headquartered in Neu‑Isenburg, Hesse, was sold as a full exit/realisation of Cinven’s investment after significant portfolio and platform build‑out.

Viridium Group Acquires Traditional Life Insurance Portfolio from Zurich Deutscher Herold

Viridium Group has signed an agreement with Zurich Group Germany to acquire a portfolio of around 720,000 traditional life insurance policies (approximately €21 billion AUM) from Zurich Deutscher Herold Lebensversicherung AG. The portfolio will be migrated to the Viridium platform under a new brand, with service agreements in place for a three-year transition and regulatory approval required prior to closing.

Cinven to Acquire Finaxy Group from Ardian

Private equity firm Cinven has entered exclusive negotiations to acquire the Finaxy group from Ardian, with Finaxy management (led by Founder & CEO Erick Berville) set to significantly reinvest alongside Cinven. Headquartered in Paris, Finaxy is a multi-specialist French insurance broker with over 330 employees and more than €700 million in premiums; Cinven will invest from its Strategic Financials Fund and aims to accelerate Finaxy's buy-and-build growth across France and internationally.

Cinven to Acquire International Financial Group Limited (IFGL)

Cinven, the international private equity firm, has reached an agreement to acquire International Financial Group Limited (IFGL), a life insurer headquartered in the Isle of Man that administers £19 billion of assets and employs more than 550 people. IFGL operates the RL360, Ardan International and Friends Provident International brands; financial terms were not disclosed and Cinven said it plans to support IFGL's buy-and-build strategy, product expansion and international growth.

Cinven Acquires Majority Stake in JAGGAER from Accel-KKR

International private equity firm Cinven has acquired a controlling majority stake in JAGGAER, the global SaaS spend-management and Source-to-Pay provider. Accel-KKR, which took JAGGAER private in 2016 and drove significant growth and add-on acquisitions, retains a minority stake; Cinven said it will support further R&D investment and additional acquisitions to drive growth.

Cinven and GIC to Acquire Miller

Cinven and GIC have agreed to acquire Miller, a London-headquartered specialist insurance and (re)insurance broker, from Miller’s partners and corporate member Willis Towers Watson. Miller employs more than 640 people across major insurance hubs, places about £2 billion of premiums annually, and the buyers plan to accelerate growth through independent ownership, organic expansion and selective bolt-on M&A.
