Verizon Acquires Certain Assets of Bluegrass Cellular

Verizon Communications has signed an agreement to acquire certain assets of Bluegrass Cellular, a rural wireless operator serving central Kentucky with roughly 210,000 customers across 34 counties. The transaction—subject to FCC approval—is intended to expand Verizon's footprint in Kentucky and will transition Bluegrass customers and employees to Verizon; closing was expected late 2020 or early 2021.

NEC Corporation Acquires Blue Danube Systems, Inc.

NEC Corporation signed a definitive agreement to acquire Blue Danube Systems, Inc., a U.S.-based provider of CBRS/4G/5G RAN products and AI/ML-based software, to strengthen NEC's Open RAN and 5G product portfolio. The acquisition is intended to expand NEC's customer support capability and North American R&D/assets, with closing expected around March 2022 pending regulatory approval.

Panasonic Acquires Blue Yonder

Panasonic Corporation agreed to acquire the remaining 80% stake in Blue Yonder from New Mountain Capital and funds managed by Blackstone for USD5.6 billion (USD7.1 billion including repayment of outstanding debt), valuing Blue Yonder at USD8.5 billion. The acquisition brings Blue Yonder fully into Panasonic to combine Blue Yonder's AI/ML-driven, cloud-based Luminate supply chain platform with Panasonic's IoT, edge and industrial engineering capabilities to accelerate an "Autonomous Supply Chain" strategy.

Blue Yonder Acquires One Network Enterprises for Approximately $839 Million

The deal brings One Network's Digital Supply Chain Network, control tower capabilities and a multi-enterprise network of trading partners into Blue Yonder to deliver real-time, multi-tier orchestration, visibility and AI-driven decisioning.
