Verizon to Acquire Frontier Communications

Verizon Communications Inc. agreed to acquire Frontier Communications Parent, Inc. in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $20 billion. The deal will expand Verizon's fiber footprint by adding Frontier's nationwide fiber network and 2.2 million fiber subscribers, enhancing Verizon's ability to deliver broadband, mobility and intelligent-edge services across more U.S. markets.

Verizon Business Acquires BlueJeans Network

Verizon Business has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire BlueJeans Network, a cloud-based enterprise video conferencing and events platform. The acquisition will integrate BlueJeans into Verizon's unified communications portfolio and 5G roadmap to provide enterprise-grade video experiences across markets such as telemedicine, distance learning and field service.

T-Mobile Acquires UScellular's Wireless Operations

T-Mobile US, Inc. has completed the acquisition of substantially all of UScellular's wireless operations and specified spectrum assets for approximately $4.3 billion after adjustments, consisting of $2.6 billion in cash and about $1.7 billion in assumed debt. The deal (closed August 1, 2025) adds roughly 4.4 million customers, ~4,400 towers and valuable low-band spectrum to T‑Mobile’s network while Array Digital Infrastructure (formerly UScellular) will retain a large tower portfolio and certain spectrum holdings.

Watch Communications Acquires Q Wireless

Watch Communications, a subsidiary of Benton Ridge Telephone, has acquired Q Wireless, a western Kentucky-based fixed wireless internet provider, expanding Watch’s footprint into western Kentucky and southeastern Indiana and adding roughly 2,000 residential subscribers. Phil Lambert, owner of Q Wireless, will join Watch Communications as Southern Region general manager; the deal also extends Watch’s Microsoft Airband partnership into Kentucky.
