MidOcean Partners Acquires GSTV; AMCSI and Monroe Support Transaction

MidOcean Partners has acquired GSTV, a national on-the-go video network serving fuel and convenience retailers, from Rockbridge Growth Equity, with Rockbridge retaining a minority stake. A&M Capital Strategic Investments (AMCSI) made a minority equity investment alongside MidOcean and Monroe Capital provided financing and an equity co-investment to support the deal; financial terms were not disclosed.

GFT Technologies SE Acquires Sophos Solutions from Advent International

GFT Technologies SE agreed to acquire 100% of Colombia-based core banking specialist Sophos Solutions S.A.S. from Advent International, expanding GFT’s core banking, AI and cloud modernisation capabilities and boosting its presence across Latin America. The deal adds roughly 1,700 employees to GFT (increasing headcount by almost 20%) and positions GFT among the top three banking IT services providers in Latin America; the transaction was expected to close in early February 2024.

Janes Acquires Global Platforms & Systems (GPS) Business from Avascent

Fortress Acquires Gyptech

Funds managed by affiliates of Fortress Investment Group have acquired a majority stake in Gyptech, the Burlington, Ontario–headquartered designer and fabricator of gypsum wallboard and asphalt-shingle manufacturing equipment. The transaction (in which Gyptech management retains a minority stake) was announced as providing strategic support for global growth, scaling innovative technologies, and expanding aftermarket and energy‑reduction offerings; Wynnchurch Capital is the selling private equity sponsor. Moelis acted as Fortress's financial advisor and Evercore as placement agent on the financing.
