NTT DATA Services has entered an agreement to acquire Nexient, a U.S.-based cloud-native, product-minded agile software services firm, to expand its Application Development & Modernization capabilities. Nexient will join NTT DATA's digital practice, bringing full-stack product development, agile teams and U.S.-based delivery centers (including Ann Arbor, MI and Columbus, OH); the deal was announced May 18, 2021 and is subject to customary closing conditions.

Datadog Acquires Timber Technologies (Vector)

Datadog, the cloud monitoring and security SaaS provider, has acquired Timber Technologies, the developer of Vector, a high-performance, vendor-agnostic observability data pipeline. The Timber leadership team (including CEO Zach Sherman and CTO Ben Johnson) and the core Timber team will join Datadog to integrate Vector’s capabilities for collecting, enriching, transforming and routing logs, metrics and traces into Datadog’s platform.

NTT DATA Services has agreed to acquire Chainalytics, a supply chain consulting and analytics firm, to strengthen its supply chain consulting and analytics capabilities. Chainalytics' 200+ employees will join NTT DATA's consulting business; the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and expected to close in the coming weeks.
